The MOT is designed to ensure vehicles in the UK are roadworthy and safe to be driven on public roads. Taken annually, the test is essential for almost every car on the road. At P Garner Autos we provide a service designed to help keep your cars roadworthy, and give them the best chances of passing their MOT.
If your vehicle is due for its MOT soon, bring it to us for a pre-MOT inspection. We can give your vehicle a good once over, looking at all the areas that come up during the test. We can advise if your car should be good to go, or if there are any repairs we would recommend. If your vehicle has just failed its MOT, do not worry. As highly experienced repair specialists, we can complete any advisory or essential work to your vehicle, preparing it for a retest.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR MOT
There are three types of defect that may come up on your MOT, and it's important to understand what they mean:
Minor defect: these are not fails, and you can continue to drive your vehicle. We would still advise getting these fixed sooner rather than later.
Major defect: these are fails, and should be fixed immediately. If you have taken an early MOT and your current certificate has some time left on it, you can drive the vehicle away/to a repair centre like us, so long as there are no dangerous defects.
Dangerous defect: the vehicle is unroadworthy and cannot be driven at all, until the issues are resolved.
